The 2023 Statement of Investment Principles (SIP) for the STMicroelectronics (Bristol) Retirement Benefit Scheme (thge “Scheme”) has been prepared by the Trustee and sets out the principles governing the Trustee’s decision to invest the assets of the Scheme. The Scheme’s investment strategy is derived from the Trustee’s investment objectives. The objectives have been taken into account at all stages of planning, implementation and monitoring of the investment strategy.
The 2023 version of the Statement of Investment Principles (SIP) can be accessed via the link below:
The Department for Work and Pensions (‘DWP’) is increasing regulation to improve disclosure of financially material risks. This regulatory change recognises Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) factors as financially material and schemes need to consider how these factors are managed as part of their fiduciary duty. The regulatory changes require that schemes detail their policies in their Statement of Investment Principles (SIP) and demonstrate adherence to these policies in an implementation report.

The Trustee hosted a virtual 2022 Town Hall meeting for Scheme members via Zoom on 23 November 2022.
The Trustee is conscious that some members who would have liked to attend will have been unable to do so due to other commitments. We are therefore making a recording of this meeting temporarily available to give such members the opportunity to watch the Trustee presentation. The recording can be found at the below link and will be available until the end of January 2023. The video is only available for Scheme members and has been password protected. To obtain the password, please call the Isio administration team on +44 (0)118 338 4399. You will need to provide some personal details to confirm you are a member of the Scheme and will then be provided with the password. This password is not to be shared with anyone else, including other Scheme members.
Please note that the administrators can be contacted between 9am and 5pm GMT, weekdays only. Isio’s offices will be closed for the Christmas period from 24 December 2022 to 3 January 2023.

Town Hall Meeting: 23 November 2022; 17:30 to 19:30
We would like to invite members of the STMicroelectronics (Bristol) Retirement Benefit Scheme (the “Scheme”) to attend a virtual 2022 Town Hall meeting.
The Trustee will be taking the opportunity to provide members with an insight into what they have been up to over the past year, including some updates about ongoing matters in relation to the Scheme itself, as well as some wider news on pensions. This will also provide members with the opportunity to directly address questions to the Trustee.
We believe members value Town Hall style meetings as they offer an opportunity to interact with the Trustee. In the same manner as last year, we will be using Zoom to host the meeting virtually. For those members who are unable to join the call, we do intend to make a recording of the event available on request for a short period after.
Members are invited to table questions in advance, with further opportunity to ask questions on the day.
Full details of the event can be found below.
We hope that you are able to attend this meeting and we look forward to talking with you.
or by submitting questions via a chat box functionality within Zoom on the day. The meeting will be run as a webinar so the chat box will be the only method of communication to the presenters at the meeting.
For a short period following the meeting, the Trustee will make a recording available on request via our website. The website address is: stukpension.net/

While this is not ideal the Trustee believes members value Town Hall style meetings as they offer an opportunity to interact with the Trustee and feel it is the best option for the Trustee to provide members with an insight into what they have been up to over the past year, including some updates about ongoing matters in relation to the Scheme itself, as well as some wider news on pensions. This will also provide members with the opportunity to directly address questions to the Trustee.
